This final edition of the Entertainment Advent Calendar continues with another dose of the best medicine: laughter.
Father Ted: A Christmassy Ted
Lodged in between series two and three, this double episode of sorts bridged the series in almost a year off from production. Beginning with a dream sequence of Ted becoming the love interest of Dervla Kirwan’s character from the now-forgotten late 1990s British/Irish drama Ballykissangel, chaos ensues. From Ted leading a group of priests out of a department store lingerie section they are all lost within, to Dougal having to run a funeral in Ted’s absence, its feels narratively chaotic also, more of a string of sketches taped together, and is simply a bumper episode of laugh after laugh.

Although not particularly Christmas-related, A Christmassy Ted is a bag of mixed nuts; a seasonal treat of surreal madness and hilarity that should not be missed.
I hope you have enjoyed this Entertainment Advent series, from animated seasonal treats, to edge of the seat horror, and finally, relaxing comedy. Have a great holiday period, everyone.
